ART RESIDENCY_MASSERIA CULTURA

 

ART. 1 - PURPOSE

With the Artistic Residences that will take place from July 2020 to December 2020, the Masseria Cultura Social Promotion Association aims to bring the public closer to art and its realization processes through the involvement of the local public and tourism, aiming at the contamination of knowledge, culture and generations.

 

ART. 2 - ARTIST'S PROFILE

The open call of Masseria Cultura is aimed at all artists of various disciplines, without any discrimination based on nationality, sex, religion, or age.

 

ART. 3 - ARTISTIC CATEGORIES

Each artist must produce a work (or more than one if he wishes) to be left permanently to the APS Masseria Cultura.

There are no size limits for the works.

 

ART. 4 - ADVISORS: JURY

The artists will be evaluated by an internal commission at Masseria Cultura with years of experience in the field of contemporary art, which will be compared based on three critical factors:

 

  • Technical expertise

  • Stylistic personality

  • Strength of content

 

ART. 5 - AWARDS AND AWARDS

The winners of the call will have the opportunity to:

  • make a personal and / or collective exhibition at the facility following the residence, co-participating in the cultural events proposed by the institution, and joining its network of users.

  • organize workshops and lab experiences at the laboratories.

  • enter the permanent collection of works exhibited at APS Masseria Cultura.

  • enter the digital network of Masseria Cultura, being included in the residences archive on www.masseriacultura.org and @masseriacultura.

 

SELECTED ARTISTS:

The selected artists will be publicly announced on Masseria Cultura social networks (Instagram and Facebook).

The 2020 calendar of residences will also be published online, within one month of the deadline of June 20th.

 

ART. 6 - OPEN CALL APPLICATION

 

PRE-REGISTRATION

For pre-registration the artist requires:

  • Photocopy of Candidate's identity documents (Identity card, CF and \ or Passport)

  • Catalog of works

  • A non-refundable contribution to be paid at the time of application of € 40

  • The compilation of the Application Form below where the artistic project to be proposed and the methods of realization of the works, the need for materials, etc. are highlighted.

  • A work to be produced and left at the farm for those who will win the residence.

 

REGISTRATION OF SELECTED ARTISTS

Only the winning artists will be able to complete the registration for the residence by paying the fee (€ 100 for the Short Residence (2 weeks), € 200 for the Long Residence (4 weeks).

Payment must be made through the PayPal service or by bank transfer.

CALENDAR

The residences will take place from July 2020 to December 2020. The calendar will be gradually made public on the website of www.masseriacultura.org

 

ART. 7 - VISIBILITY OF ARTISTIC PROFILES

The winners of the call will be visible on the website www.masseriacultura.org with a personal fixed-term portfolio.

 

ART. 8 - ACCEPT OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Participation in the open call implies knowledge and total acceptance of the general terms of use.

 

ART. 9 - ORGANIZATION

The Social Promotion Association APS Masseria Cultura is the Organizer of the Open Call.

ART. 10 - GENERAL TERMS OF USE

APSMasseria Cultura adopts a strict protection policy for the e-mail addresses and personal data of its users. The e-mail address used for registration will never be displayed on www.masseriacultura.org, nor on the online profile of the artists or in communications with other users, nor in administration e-mails. APS Masseria Cultura undertakes not to reveal e-mail addresses to third parties in its mailing services and not to sell them to any person or company. By using this website, the user is obliged to accept the following conditions of use. The owner and organizer reserves the right, at its discretion, to modify, add or remove parts of these terms at any time, as well as the addition or removal of users from the site, whether they are paying users or non-paying users. Please check these terms periodically. Continued use of the website after the publication of the changes to these terms implies acceptance of these changes, even if the changes to the terms occurred after registration.

The original notice of the APS Masseria Cultura is in Italian, therefore the relative translations are for example use: in any case and circumstances, the Italian version will prevail.

The winning artists transfer to APS Masseria Cultura, without payment, the rights to reproduce, exhibit, publish, translate and communicate to the public all the materials published by him at the time of registration. APS Masseria Cultura may disclose, for any reason and in any way, the aforementioned materials in full respect of moral copyright.

 

ART. 11- LIABILITY

APS Masseria Cultura invites the artists-members to subscribe to the newsletter and periodically consult the website www.masseriacultura.org to be informed of all updates and any changes made to this announcement.

 

ART. 12 - USE OF MATERIALS

Unless otherwise indicated, all texts, images and videos posted by registered members of the www.masseriacultura.org site, henceforth called websites or websites, are protected by copyright, but are automatically licensed to APS Masseria Cultura who can use them for promotional purposes in the catalogs or within other activities of the center. In particular, all the works of art presented at the final exhibitions of any prize organized by APS Masseria Cultura will remain visible online as historical documentation and, therefore, cannot be removed. Even photographic material, CDs, DVDs, curricula vitae and any texts or catalogs presented by the artists for the purpose of their application, will not be returned, but archived by the Organizer. The contents of the website cannot in any way be reused without the permission of the user who entered them and the Organizer.

 

ART. 13 - LIABILITY FOR CONTENT

Persons who, in their own right or on behalf of others, post texts, images or videos on the APS Masseria Cultura website are responsible for this. The Organizer reserves the right to remove defamatory, slanderous and obscene texts; images that may violate the rights of third parties or that may constitute civil or criminal liability or violate the law, except for cases formally motivated by the artists.

 

ART. 14 - CHILDREN AND MINORS

The website is aimed at adults. The display of the contents of the website by minors is the sole responsibility of the parents, guardians or persons in charge of their control.

 

ART. 15 - PRIVACY

The registration data and some other demographic and personal information provided are subject to the Organizer's privacy rules pursuant to art.13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003.

Information relating to Italian legislation:

Personal data will be used for sending the requested information. The data can be used in electronic transmission. The consent to their use, without which it will not be possible to receive the requested information, is optional. Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties, nor will it be transferred, except in compliance with the law and only for reasons related to contractual obligations.

The publication of visible data online, including personal data, is the responsibility of users and cannot be considered as a violation of user privacy by the Organizer. All data and images posted on the site are granted to APS Masseria Cultura, which is responsible for their treatment. The acceptance and methods of using personal data and the rights relating to art.6 of the above legislative decree are to be considered implicit in the request for information and in the participation in the activities provided on the platform of the APS Masseria Cultura website . Each candidate expressly authorizes APS Masseria Cultura, as well as their direct delegates, to process personal data transmitted pursuant to Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Privacy Code), also for the purpose of inclusion in databases managed by the aforementioned people.

 

ART. 16 - INDEMNIFICATION

The user agrees to indemnify, defend and keep the Organizer out of any responsibility, loss, claim and expense, including legal fees, related to a violation or alleged violation of this agreement or use of the websites.

 

ART. 17 - JURISDICTION

The websites are owned by the Organizer, and are managed by offices in Italy. The Organizer does not guarantee that the content posted by users on websites is appropriate or available for use in other places. Those who choose to access the website from other locations do so on their own initiative and are responsible for establishing the usability or correctness of any information or content in any or all jurisdictions and the compliance of that information or content with local laws , if and to the extent that these are applicable.
